I have this animal now for about 18 months and got it from it's former keeper. It was imported in Germany about 2 - 3 years ago. This is a female animal , she eats really well and is fairly easy to keep. It's id is somewhat difficult but depepnding on what I read so far I would go for hainanensis Here you see the ribs don't penetrate too much (but she is quite fat) ![]() Cloaca is colored ![]() A view on the belly (transversal lines or not ...) ![]() Further a view from above , the head is not that wide, but remember it's a female... |

After our update I can post some links to clarify... Its T. wenxianensisin my opinion. Tylototriton asperrimus is large (up to 200 mm) and always has the dorso-lateral warts; http://www.tylototriton.org/T.%20asperrimus.htm Tylototriton hainanensis is very similar to the former; http://www.tylototriton.org/Hainanensis%20WL6.jpg And finally T. wenxianensis is small (up to 160 mm), has no dorso-lateral warts and has a very flat head; http://www.tylototriton.org/wenxianensis2.jpg |

It looks alot like my T.Wenxianensis. I wouldn't say it was Hainanensis, or at least it's not like any of the Hainanensis i've seen.
