North American Newts (Notophthalmus & Taricha) While not closely related, these two genera are the true newts of North America.

Default Raising Noto V. V. larvae in culture bin?

So, I have a few buckets that I raise daphnia and other assorted micro foods in. Would it be safe to raise one of my Noto v v larvae in there? There would be constant access to food but water quality is my concern. They should be fine since the daphnia survive. Right?

It would feel comfortable doing that with a handful of larva, especially if you have some live plants and don't feed your daphnia cultures yeast or anything that could really mess up your water quality. I usually keep a two buckets of various freshwater foods (cyclops, daphnia and asellus/gammarus) going when I have larva and sift the foods out with a brine shrimp net. Works well since my newts all seem to stagger their laying until one species is finished, would not be great for largescale/mass breeding though.
