So far I have produced a good but not caunted number of Nvv this year. They are from a location near Chicago. I have had the adult animals since December 2010. The winter are spend at 2-7C. The adults have a large water area and a small land area. The adults are aquatic in winter and spring but from end May they enter land and only wisit water at night. The eggs were laid when water temperature hit 16C, not a single day before that. |

Congradulations. I've bred them in 2010 using a method similar to yours. Allas both my males got bad case of fungus during mating time in 2011, but luckily one survived. Hope you will continue breeding them in the future, because easterns aren't bred that much in Europe.

Well, we will see, initially I counted the first 60 eggs and then I think the female produced eggs or another few weeks. But maybe im lucky to have around 30 good larvaes that are raised in two 250 liters aquariums. However, the big challenge is raising them after they enter the land stage.
