Exclamation Feeding the pleuro

Hey so I have an adult Pleuro.

I was just curious how many Nightcrawlers should I feed him per week?

They're pretty big and he really fills up after 1 full worm.

I just don't want him to bloat and start floating as this has happened before but on different foods.

I just bought the smallest portion of fresh Nightcrawlers(dozen) and supposedly they don't live longer than 2 weeks.

Any suggestions on how to not waste this valuable nutritious source for my lil guy?

Thanks !

I feed my newts every two days or there abouts, if they are breeding I will give them extra. One large nightcrawler sounds about right for one meal, for a wild newt, a big juicy earthworm would be a rare feast.
I keep my nightcrawlers in the bottom of the fridge in moist (not wet) dirt from my garden. They seem to last indefinitely there as long as they don't dry out, so just mist them once a week or so.

Thanks China!

My guy was on a 5 day hunger strike or so and he really slimmed down. But including tail he's still 9-10 inches long.
These Nightcrawlers I got are Huge !!! I'm talking like, 4-7 inches depending on if they're stretched out.
Anyways I think I may have gone a little overboard giving him 2 of those things in 3 days.. Hope he'll be good ! Gonna give him a like 4-5 days before the next.
Also is feeding Nightcrawler after nightcrawler bad to do?

Hi !

Do take into account the temperature at which you keep your pleuro.
We are now in january and if you keep it in a non-heated room, then it will not need to be fed very often.

Try to see how plump it is. These animals need more time to digest when they are kept at cold temperatures.
