Default Live plants in bedding??

So I was feeding my tiger salamander today and I saw something reddish/ kind of orange round thing. It was hard like a pebble, I thought it was a pebble so I left it there. Then I saw this weird white string then when I looked closely it had leaves! I took it out and there was the same kind of pebble attached to it. It turned out they were seeds. Where did these come from? has this happened to anyone?

Welcome to the site. :)
Was it shop bought bedding? I mean like coco fibre or compost? I thought herp specific stuff was sterilised some how, but I've had plants germinate from garden centre potting compost. Do you have a pic of the plant? I'm curious to know what it is from the description!

Thank you

And yes, I got from it from Petco. It's the Eco Earth kind. I'll try to take a photo.

Thanks!

I got it from Petco, it is called Eco Earth. I got it as a brick. I wonder if it's because I've left for too long? I haven't changed the bedding in over a month. I'll try to take a photo.

It looks like some kind of bean, maybe alfalfa? Maybe somebody else could say for certain?

It'll be safe so long as it doesn't drown.
