I have a firebelly newt that has a white fungus like growth at the end of his tail. I pulled it out of the water to take a closer look at it. When I pulled it out a strong smell (like fish) came from that area. I have Metronidazole and Baytril that I keep to treat my dart frogs for bacterial and fungal problems. Can I use this for this problem or is there anything else I can use or that I can buy over the counter to treat this problem. I think eventually he will loose the end of his tail.
Thanks,
Steve
