Default Is methylene blue effective in treating fungus?

As above, My C.Orientalis has a small patch of white fuzzy stuff on one of its missing toes, is it advisable to use methylene blue? and if so, how long do I have to soak it?

the newt is eating well, but only has 4 toes on each of its hind legs.

it isn't harmful at all, so if you are stuck, then it it worth trying. My pachytriton developed ulcers, and although it didn't cure them, it seemed to stop the spread of them.
