Pleurodeles waltl! They are big, bold, and very personable. In my opinion the are a very under rated newt.

Cynops ensicauda. More forgiving of warmer temperatures. Land phase is extremely easy to feed and take care of.

Vote number two for P. Waltl

You could try slimy salamanders.

I'll third the P.waltl, and also second the ensicauda. Both species are fantastic; certainly two of my top choices were I to get more animals.

4th on the P. Waltls. They're hilarious characters to watch.

It's great that your enthusiastic about getting a new caudate, but this question has been asked many times before. Next time, try and use the search function, go on caudata culture, or ask in the chat. By the way, P. Watl is a great choice.
