Hi, i would like to ask why newt will produce film or menbrance on thier skin? my newt produce full pieces on thier skin? why they need produce film?

I assume you are refering to the phenomenon of shedding their skins. This probably has several functions. One of them is to allow for growth, like what happens in snakes, for example, but it´s also important in the transitions from terrestrial to aquatic living as the shed allows for all the physiological transformations that the skin goes through. It may also serve to rid them of certain parasites, aid regeneration of wounds, etc.

In addition, keep in mind that if the skin isn't coming off in one piece and is in patches, it is an indication of a stressed newt.
