Lightbulb Axolotl tail

Hello! I just received my two beautiful axolotls yesterday, and I noticed that my melanoid's tail was a lot different than my GFP Leucistic's tail. I am a a first time owner, and was just worried if something was wrong with her, so if anyone has any suggestions as to what it could be, let me know! It looks like it's split in half at the end, sort of like it's a structure for two tails... I have attached a photo of Ebony below.

That is crazy! Looks like a genetic defect, but i dont see why it should harm her.

I agree, this looks like a birth defect or genetic mutation of some kind, your axolotl looks healthy and happy though so I wouldn't worry about it.

You will just have to see how it grows. but if it gets really bad to the point the axolotl might die because it could not swim properly, you might have to cut a part off and let it grow back.
