I was just sitting beside my tank watching my three lil axies swiming around, when i noticed my albino axie axle appeared to blink! what seemed to be an eyelid came up from the bottom then retracted... any ideas or maybe a trick of the water & light?

Good to know i haven't just been staring at a fish tank too long... he he he, sure we all know that feeling! it's great that the little critters still manage to intrigue and amaze me & others i'm sure!

All amphibians retract their eyes to help them swallow their food. It's much more obvious with frogs etc. 'cause they've got massive eyes.

Yup, Spyyk retracts her eyes occasionally - it's very funny.
It looks like her skull is dragging them in when she's trying to swallow a huge frozen cube whole... (silly animal!)

I think its awesome, my axie Frilly (unfortunately named male) swallows his food with one eye, I think its quite cute and a little weird but mostly cute lol. But yeah its definitely natural, no tricks!
