In January, my first batch of eggs hatched and everything seemed to go smooth, sure there were more than a few deaths, but everything seemed normal.
It wasnt till about February that i noticed something was up, I had about five axolotls that were a ton smaller than the rest. It stayed that way. So now its September, all of the axolotls I wanted to sell are long gone. Two of those small five are still alive, they are about Four and a half inches long, the normal brother of theirs that i kept is about eight and a half inches long, their father about nine inches...

Their brother hatched wtihin three days of theses guys, same mother, same father, same batch of eggs, raised on the same food, though their brother was slightly canibalistic...
What im trying to say is that this isnt a joke, they really are from the same batch of eggs as their brother and no i didnt starve them...
they're just small, really, really, small.

At my house, everyone refers to them as "The Midgets" but I call them Godzilla and King Kong for obvious reasons...

Its not that i dont love them, or dont want them I just want to know why they are so much smaller than theyre brothers.
Anyone have an idea, cuz id looooove to hear it!!

Axies tend to have a really different way to grow, I have one axie, that is from the same mother and father and he is half the size of other two , and cause of that I have to keep them separated, also the same food, but different grow, it is normal. to explain why, it would be a large post on axies genetic .
