If you have light colored animals, the excess blood flow from excitement/feeding will cause gills/bodies/faces to be redder. Normal.

Hi there, when i feed my baby axys pellets you can see through them to an extent and see the pellet through the skin, just like you can see internal organs on pale babies, so it could actually be the bloodworms that you are seeing too!?

When i used to feed them when they where smaller and pale i could see them swallow it. But now i cant see them swallow but there faces goes red when i feed them even if they are just chilling if i put the feeding stick near them they light up. They are so fussy to they dont like red worms but will eat the earth worms(brown ones) no problems.

A lot of animals won't eat red worms. They excrete a foul-smelling fluid that a lot of animals will refuse.

I get mine from Walmart, but the baitshop should have earthworms. If they're too big, don't be afraid to cut them in half. They'll last in the fridge (in dirt) for weeks. Even the half-worms will survive for some time.
