Default Help Needed, Can You Put Normal Rocks In Your Axolotl Tank?

I have some great rocks that would really suit a tank and I was wondering how you clean them, I've heard that you can boil them but do you just use water and for how long?

It depends where the rocks are from.

But the most accepted method is to give them a good scrub, and boil them for a few minutes in plain water.

I have added rocks to my setup and had no issues after boiling them. Lime based rocks may not be a good additive though.

Default Granite

I used 3 (what I think were:) granite slabs from my yard. I didn't boil them, I just scrubbed them down really well and added them to the tank. The granite was in the tank a few months with just the cycling fish before I added the caudate so that would have got rid of any other dirt, bacteria, etc. too.
