Question fridge holiday

Hello again. My axie has been in the fridge for 2.5 weeks and definately won't be coming out for at least another week according to the weather bureau! In that time he hasn't eaten as when I've fed him previously in the fridge he regurgitated. How long can he stay in the fridge without eating? He seems very happy there, I change his water daily and he hasn't noticeably lost weight, he's about 20cm long. Am I correct in assuming I shouldn't do water changes on his (empty) tank while he's not in it? Tested my parameters about 3 days ago and all was well. Ammonia 0, nitrite 0 and ph 7.8. I'm emptying about every third lunchbox of fridge water into the tank instead of down the sink, to hopefully feed the bacteria while he's on holidays. Can't wait to get my bigger tank and get that happening.

How cold is the fridge? most fridges are set to 5c, if yours is put it too 10c, should be better for him. The temp does effect there eating alot, they can go without food for a few weeks. So its likely hes just not hungry yet. Just keep trying, and your'll see when he is! Try using live food, that normaly awakens there appitate.

Thanks for your reply tashie. The fridge is at 7 degrees and I really can't raise it any more as all our food is in it too. I haven't tried to feed him yet as he regurgitated last time. So you think it's worth a try again anyway?

Sure, why not. It won't do your axie any harm. Just make sure you clean the water promptly if he regurgitates.

Area of fridge where they are should be over 5 degrees celsius. Mine was at about 7 degrees, and spent three weeks there.
