Hi I got my new Axie on Sunday (he/she is gorgeous) but it's not eating, I realise the move from the shop may have been stressful, but she doesn't appear stressed in any other way.... how long till I should start to get worried. Nitrate, ammonia & nitrite levels are normal, pH 6.5, temp 18 |

The first night I offered him a prawn, the second a sliver of liver and tonight I have put some brine shrimp in (hoped the movement would tempt him) I haven't actually seen him eat but the shrimp seem to have depleted in number (unless they are all asleep on the bottom of the tank )

Brine shrimp die fairly quickly in fresh water. Without the removal of the dead brine shrimp, they will quickly foul the water. They're also not appropriately sized for adult axolotls. I suggest offering earthworms. http://caudata.org/cc/articles/foods.shtml http://caudata.org/cc/articles/worms.shtml
