Question Wax worms as food?

Are wax worms okay to feed my axie?

I read that they are high in fat, so maybe I can just give him one as a treat now and then if so?

Thanks for all replies!!

I would think that its fine if used sparingly as you stated, they are fatty.

They are fatty but full of nutrients, they are good for axolotls that have been sick lately and need a pick me up.. but like Fred said- they're not a staple diet.

Have a look here: http://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/foods2.shtml

To see the nutritional values of various food items. I wouldn't say a waxworm is 'full of nutrients' though, certainly not compared to others.
