Question What's the best type of water testing kit?

Hey!
Any recommendations of the best testing kit to use for my Axie tank?
The nearest aquatic centre that i trust with Axolotl info is called Erdington Aquatics, in Birmingham. The link below is from their water testing kit page, i had no idea there were so many options.. and i don't know which will give me all the relevant information i need, accurately and efficiently.

Test Kits :: Marine :: Aquariums, Tropical Fish, Marine Fish, Pond Pumps and Aquatics.

Budget isn't too much an issue.
I would really appreciate some advice.

Kate :)

The best test kits you can buy (within reason, of course) are the liquid reagents ones. These are the ones where you take some aquarium water, add some drops and compare to a color card. These tests tend to be more accurate, have a longer shelf life and are more economical in the long run than test strips. I've used the Red Sea product in the past and found it satisfactory.

As far as what tests to have? In order of importance I would say they are Ammonia (NH4+/NH3), Nitrite and Nitrate. The three nitrogen compounds are the most dangerous and most important compounds in the general maintenance of your aquarium. Most problems are caused by the presence of the first two or an abundance of the last one.

If you have these three tests and feel the need to have some more tests or want to be completely prepared the next two important tests are a Carbonate hardness (KH) and pH test. But I'd classify these as more general as needed tests.
