So I finally put them together yay! Ive been watching them for about an hour and Toothless has been eating for a good bit of it lol and Luna has been pissy as usual. Luna took a nip at Toothless' tail/vent area within the first few minutes but since that she has been hiding in her new favorite hide. The thing Im most curious/kind of worried about was that first nip. Is it ok that she/he did that...or was it just a "love nip" haha or could it be that it happens every so often randomly? by the way, Toothless just sat there and took it...I think he/she is going to be my "easy child" :) they seem fine, no stress signs or anything so Im going to leave them together for the night and check on them in a few hours. |

My two do it quite frequently but the new one cops it more. I've read that they have bad eye site and mistake other axolotl's for food but surely they can distinguish the difference between a big blob from a little blob of food.. Plus I watch my two and can see that the older one does it just cause he can. He'll swim after the new one like he's from the movie jaws If they keep at it I may have to separate them.. (There hasn't been any limb chewing, head swallowing or tail biting so that's a good sign so far)

| Junior Member | ![]() They are doing just fine today. No nips or anything. I bought some slate rocks today and I made some more hides. I think its a success! |

I have a feeling they are girl/boy...Im always catching them cuddling up and even in the big ol tank, they will stay right beside eachother. theyre too small to breed but if they do...I will soo be raising babies!!!
