Hello, I have a few questions that I can't seem to find the answers too and I was hoping you guys could help. So I have been raising axies from there eggs are two of them now are now in the sub adult/juvenile stage. My questions are: -- When are they ready to leave there containers and go into the tank I have set up for them? -- When do I reduce their feeding to once a week? -- Is there anything else I should know? Thanks for having a look and many thanks in advanced for answers.

hi lelli, how old are your axies now and how big? mine were both put in the same tank around 2 1/2 months. mine are currently 6 months old and about 5 inches. i still feed them everyday in order to stop nipping at each other and because one is very prone to air bubbles. im sure that someone more experienced will help too. good luck with your babies x |

Hi, lelli ,i would put your axolotls into their tank now as they will be big enough if there sub adults, as for the feeding i would start feeding them every other day when they get to 6inches head to tail and i would say when there about 1 and a half years old i would start feeding them 3 earthworms once a week but only start feeding them once a week when there at a healthy weight, and are you feeding them earthworms? as this will fill them up more and there much more filling than bloodworms etc.. hope this helped! and theres nothing else you need to no really but if you have any more questions feel free to ask |

Hello thank you both for the replies. They are almost 4months old, two are 6cms, two are 5cms and one is only 3cm. No I haven't been giving them earthworm yet, I didn't think they were big enough for them yet. (although I did see one eat a spider the other day)
