Their new tank has been set up for about 3 weeks now, but Mr + Mrs have only been in there a week, but we cant seem to bring the ammonia down.... its nearly 2... will this eventually go down???we're doing a 20% water change evey other day (we're in a hard water area). Their feeding ok, The temp is 22 but are trying to bring it down, fans and ice bottles etc, They yawn as well, is this natural?? not lots but occasionally. What size tank is this? Also, 20% every other day is no where near sufficient - it should be 50% at least daily. What type of filtration system are you using. What have you been feeding them? No, neon's can't be tossed in as live vacation feeding. They would be better off with out food at all for the four days. I suggest making sure their tank and temperature is stable before you go on vacation or set them each up in their own tub in the refrigerator during the 4 days.
