I got my axolotl, Ichtaca, about two weeks ago. She's a golden albino! Her gills are pretty short, but she seems happy in her tank.

She has got dinky gills hasn't she, is that just the way she is or will they grow any do you think? She looks lovely!

I got her from our university's science building, so I figure she was kept with other axolotls and had her gills nipped at some point.I do hope she grows them back! Though even if she does, the asymmetry is rather endearing.
