Default My axie is being weird i dont know whats wrong :(

It is swimming sideways and upside downand keeps trying to burow into the stones. it was fine earlier, and its tank mates are ok. It seems.... i dont know, concussed? Even let me hold it, which it never does, its normally agressive... i think its not got long before it checks outs .
Any advice please?

hi one of mine acts like that sometimes normally means he needs to poo
if it continues toolong just pop himin the fridge in a shallow container with dechlorinated water, just enough to cover his back.
this normally helps calm them and helps them pass things easier

You should make sure your fridge is 10c, rap the container up so your axie doesn't get annoyed by the fridge light keep coming on, check the axie i would say between 12 hrs and 24? i don't know what everyone else thinks? if it does take longer then 24 hrs to pass you should do a 100% water change, make sure you have a bottle of dechlorinated water in the fridge so we you do the water change the temp wont shock your axie. Hope your axie will be ok :)

moon is still in the fridge. And looks to me like a girl, but i would have to compare it to the others and they dont really like to be held and perved at hahahaha. She seems a bit better today, is moving about normally in the icecream container and seems calm rather than the spastic type thing she was last night. i cant see any poo, so i will wait till this evening and if there is none do a water change as suggested. Ill just monitor her and see what shes doing. Thanks guys

Have you tested your water parameters in your tank - ie ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? Just because the others aren't reacting doesn't mean to say there isn't a problem.

if you don't have freshwater test kits, take a sample of tankwater to the petshop, it may cost a few dollars. Ask them to test and give you the results - get them to write the figures down for each one. Then whatever it is, do not buy anything the petshop advises to "fix" the tank. Basically, if ammonia or nitrite levels are over 0, you need to do frequent partial waterchanges (at least 20% daily on your tank).

It could very well be waste building up beneath the stones which could be causing a problem.
