Urgent: Part of Axolotl gill bitten off and gush of blood

My lord, just about 10 minutes ago one my axolotls been attacked. How it happend. I was feeding all of my axolotls worms and I always give everyone room to eat to avoid them nipping at each other when feeding time. One of my axolotls came into contact with my other axie and this happend lightening fast and saw both zoom off opposite directions and saw blood just gushing out and it only lasted a few seconds, as soon as I saw that I took him out and put him in a large bin with aquarium salt water. Right now he's sitting in the tub with salt, going to put him in the fridge in abit. How long should I fridge him ? Or is it even necessary ? Need some advice ! I don't want him to get fungus if it occurs. How long should I do salt baths and fridging ? I can post pictures if necessary.

Ok, first off, don't panic.

As traumatic as it is to see our little friends have parts of them chomped off, it isn't as bad as it seems. Axolotls are great at regenerating bit of themselves after these kinds of accidents.

The salt bath probably won't hurt, but he should be good to go back to the main tank now, if he already isn't in there. I wouldn't think fridging was necessary at this point. The key thing now is to make sure that he gets good clean water while he heals up and for you to keep an eye on the injury. When one of my wet pets is injured I usually do a 10-20% water change for the first few days as this seems to do wonders for them.

I would put him back and keep an eye on the wound. These things happen and generally all will turn out well.
