Talking What filter do you use?

Just curious as to what filters you guys use and what you feel works the best.

I have an internal fluval U4 and I think I'm quite happy with it, just want to see what you guys use and what your opinions are. :-)

I use Eheim professional external filter in my 240 L tank and Eheim biopower internal filter in my 180 L. I'm very happy with both. Both are very quiet, have good adjustable water flow and can hold plenty of ceramic filter media. Out of all the filters I have experience of I prefer Eheims.

I use generic sponge filters and they seem to work great . I've also used HOB filters with different substrates (I.e. Filter floss . Ceramic . Carbon etc.) for different purposes with great affect

I'm currently using a Fluval in a 60ltr tank which I haven't been overly impressed with. It's ok, but not great. I've bought my lotl a 90ltr tank and the guy I bought the tank from also gave me his filter which is an Eheim one but I had to bin the sponges in it as they were filthy. I'm struggling to get replacement sponges as other than Eheim 2010 510 12493 I can't figure out what type of filter this is. I may have to continue with the fluval in the larger tank in the meantime.

I have an Aqua Nova canister filter. I am mostly pretty happy with it but sometimes the spray bar unattaches which increases the current more than I would like. It is actually designed for a tank a fair bit larger than my tank but I have the spray bar facing tha back wall of the tank to break the current up a bit. Other than the spray bar dropping down sometimes I haven't had any issues and it has been running smoothly and is very quiet.
