I love my canister filter. It keeps the tank nice and clean and the spray bar allows the axies to live without water flow upsetting them

I had a fluval u2 filter which had a built in spray bar, which worked well, though it heated the water slightly as I had it turned down low. It also got clogged quite quickly so had to be cleaned weekly. It was easy to take apart and clean though. Now I have a JBL external filter which is ace, also easy to clean and has a spray bar which is on the side of the tank and hardly causes any movement at all. I think EHEIM canister filters are meant to be the best, but I got the JBL one on offer for £60 as they are new. Most uk stockists seem to be doing this deal I think. I would definitely recommend it.

I bought an Eheim filter with spray bar. Best investment I ever made & it is so quiet, sometime I have to check that it's still working lol

I would recommend a filter with an adjustable output.
