Sand safe for babies

Default Sand safe for babies
Hi I have a one month old about 3 inches and was just wondering if sand was safe for him I got the Carib Sea Supernatural from petsmart for him but I want to make sure before I use it

I usually forego substrate until they're bigger, around 5 inches or so.
