Im wanting to my my axolotls to breed and im just wandering about your experience with breeding. Such as time of year success rate and how it went and anything to do with your breeding attempts.

Back when I was breeding them, I was lucky enough to have a pair that bred pretty much year round. A good water changes and the tank was full of eggs shortly thereafter. I experienced 100% viability although I willingly allowed the larvae to cannibalize each other. In those days I did not worry about quantity. In short, they will breed when they are ready to and are very prolific. Temperature is the key here. Keep them too warm and they will never breed.
