Gender?

This is a discussion on Gender? within the Axolotl Eggs, Larvae & Breeding forums, part of the Axolotls (Ambystoma mexicanum) category; I have an axolotl in a 20 gallon aquarium. I am trying to get it a mate. I am not ...

Axolotl Eggs, Larvae & Breeding Eggs everywhere, how did that happen? Will it be albino or wildtype?

Default Gender?

I have an axolotl in a 20 gallon aquarium. I am trying to get it a mate. I am not 100% sure it is a male. I am pretty sure but i want to be completely sure before i go out and get the opposite gender. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have two that look just like him and I am pretty sure 99% they are male. But I have them both in with a female and have seen no sign proving their masculinity. No spermatophores, no getting jiggy with it dances.

Not sure that helps though.
