Default How many eggs to get?

Hi there,
I want to get some eggs, but was unsure on the survival rate of axolotl eggs ordered by mail. How many eggs should I order if I want to have 2 adults in the end? Thanks.

If I wanted to end up with just 2 adults in the end I would get 6-8 eggs from a breeder that has hatched eggs from the parent axolotls before and stands behind their eggs being strong and fertile. Most if not all should hatch, you may loose 1 or 2 during the larvae stage, then when they have their legs and are small juveniles and you can tell what their true colors will be you pick the 2 you want and list the others for sale or for free.

My experience was I got 38eggs and all of them hatched but 8 so I had 30 larvae, only 3 of those larvae died so I had 27 juvies, I sold a bunch and now 4 months later I have 14 juvies.

Look up Zaria on here, her eggs are great and hatch well with strong larvae.

Just my 2 cents, Goood Luck

i have just got around 40 eggs half way through there hatching stage from my mate ichris on here. i would recommend you get around 30 by the time there fully developed adults you'll have around 20 if you wnd up with that being too many than you can sell them for 15 dollars or give them away on here but experience is the key so a good amount.
