Godzilla!

I think i brainwash people into getting axies Click the image to open in full size... This is my boysfriends first axie.... at only 3 inches hes tiny compared to my monsters.. He sat in the petshop for a month with frogs before he gave in... and at only £7.25.. what a bargin!

He was a bit scared to beging with but only after 2 weeks.. he watches the tv and chases you and the turkey baster around the tank.. he even swims put for his worms!

Godzilla was very thin when we got him.. it may have been to do with having to compete with frogs for his dinner! But we feeding him once to twice a day.. and he hoovers bloodworms up like hes never been fed..

Anyway enough of me chatting.... picture time!

As you can see he has an extremly white belly for a wildtype.. i wonder what his adult colours will be like?

Lisa, what sort of pipe is that in his tank? The black one? Is it an ABS pipe? Here in the states, those pipes are used for sewage, drainage, ETC, and contain harmful chemicals that will really make your Axolotl sick, or possibly kill it, or just make it ill, and nothing fatal. I had one, I was going to use it and it and I found out some things about them from this site and from looking over the internet. If it is just a black PVC pipe, a regular one that is used for fresh water to pump through to the fosset, then I wouldn't worry about it, but if it said ABS on the label, it could either be for drainage, or for fresh water. The ones for drainage aren't safe, the ones for fresh drinking water, plumbing water are.

My juveniles do to. My adults have fairly light bellies, I think they just get darker with age.

I will have to post some more pictures soon... sadly in the time these were taken until this week, his belly has almost lost its whiteness Click the image to open in full size.

Rheann, dont worry, i have the same make black piping in my tank.. and there are no problems with it, boyfriend dads a builder Click the image to open in full size. and got it cheap for us. but this needs a bit of Kim styling with my stone/gravel ideas..

Hes still a hoover! And would not stop biteing while i was helping clean his tank... this is only a tempory 1ft tank.. we are going to set up a 2ft tank for him in the near future.. we're going to wait until he grows a bit.. otherwise we'll loose him! There is the other reason for keeping him on the dinner table.. he gets to sit in front of the air con unit... and says very cool and happy!

He's such a great little character, beacuse he is sat on the dinner table at the moment, he gets all of the attention. And he wonders why when we're having dinner, he dont get to chase our fingers on the outside of the tank!

phew, thanks for letting me know, KimClick the image to open in full size. Their are black pipes similiar here in the states, but they are toxic for some reason. They're used for sewage and I believe garden drainage. He looks like a puppy from the top view Kim, So cute!

Flump still has alot of growing and filling out to do.. only 4inches at my best guess... Godzilla is growing VERY well, and could quite easly fit Flump into his mouth! I'll post some update picture of godzilla... when my internet provider has sorted its self out!
