Default Queso is finally in her new home

Well after a long vacation we decided to move our Axolotl Queso to her new tank, a 55 gallon planted aquarium. Only posting a few picks, they were all to large to upload!

She has definately taken to the grass, I wouldn't have figured she would dig herself in so much. I'm a bit worried she will get stuck, but I guess if she can get herself into it she can get out. Can you find the Axolotl?

That's a nice tank and I love the plants. I'm guessing she is in between the grass

I love the darkness of the floor covering in tank- what is it as it shows Queso up beautifully

Thanks for the likes. Unfortunately I think the grass maybe beginning to die, it came from a tank where the water was a constant 78 degrees, and now its sitting around 65 degrees. We think it shocked it. They have plently of light and we are using Seachem floursih, so we will just have to see! If they die I will just replace them for ones I know will grow.

She has taken to her pipe, I was going to get a PVC pipe for the grassy side, but she just dissapears into it so guess no need.

I saw the pipe in your other pics and its really cool, perfect size for an axi to go in and out of. I'd love to replace my pvc pipe with one of those.

I would tell you where to get one, but the store we got it at only had one, and could not order another for some reason. It was broken so we had to do some cutting and grinding down on edges to make sure no cuts and scrapes. Its where she spends all her time now. When the lights go out she comes out eats and then disappears in the grass or the pipe. I was really happy we got it, I keep a camera handy for that eventual day she tries to come out the top of it.

damn! My axi doesnt go in her log or the pvc pipe anymore, so I will have to go hunting for something like the pipe you have, and hope that my axi will like it, as much as your axi likes theirs
