Now that 'Rupert' is almost 2 years old, I think it's 100% certain that 'he' is indeed a SHE!  How could I not have known? She has curves in all the right places and loves to be right in the middle of all the action in our home!  She is a Melanoid ~ velvety gray with black leopard spots....very stylish indeed!   I also have a photo of her lined up nicely with a tape measure...she is very nice sized at 11 inches from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail. Last edited by Tiffanymac; 5th May 2012 at 18:03. what a big girl! I've got a golden albino and a melanoid too. I thought my melanoid was a female too, but then I came home to a tank full of eggs. turns out that my golden is the female.
