Due to some unexpected circumstances, I find myself forced to downsize my collection. Iím not asking for any money for these animals, but I would prefer not to ship them either, so a local pickup in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill (North Carolina) area would be ideal. I donít mind driving a reasonable distance to drop them off, either; I just want the animals to find good homes, with someone who is knowledgeable about their care.

I have:

Pseudotriton Ruber (Red salamander); LTC
Triturus marmoratus (Marbled newt) (2); juvenile CB
Notophthalmus viridescens (Eastern newt); LTC
Salamandra salamandra gallaica (Portuguese fire salamander) (2); CB adults

I also have various aquariums/terrariums that Iím willing to part with.

Thanks!

FYI, the two gallaica are still available; I apologize if I've missed anyone's PMs. Still would prefer local pickup as opposed to shipping.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Hey all,

Quick update on availability...the following animals are all "up for adoption," so to speak. I'm not looking for any money, though I'm only comfortable with giving these animals to experienced keepers. Like before, I'm not shipping, though I will drive a reasonable distance for a drop-off/meet-up. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. Best way to get in touch with me is through PM, but I'll update this thread as availability changes. All animals are either LTC or captive bred, as noted. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have. Would be interested in salamandra trades (specifically terrestris), possibly. Thanks.

Pacific Giant Salamander (Dicamptodon tenebrosus). LTC, "rescued" from reptile show in South Carolina years ago. BIG. Unsexed.

Eastern Newt (Notophthalmus viridescens). LTC, male.

Himalayan Crocodile Newt (Tylototriton verrucosus). CB, male and female (I believe -- can't guarantee it). Young adults.

I also have a friend moving to North Carolina from Georgia, who is reluctantly parting with two Eastern tiger salamanders (Ambystoma tigrinum), as they are not permitted in North Carolina without a permit (as we understand the law), and I've agreed to help her find homes for these animals. Can't guarantee the sex on these animals, though I'm fairly certain at least one is male. LTC, of course.

I'd love to have them if you don't get any local takers for the Eastern Newt and Crocodile newts. I'm in PA.

Hello everyone,

Brief update -- the Noto. has found a new home (thanks, Vort), but these animals are available to good homes:

Dicamptodon tenebrosus (LTC)
Tylototriton verrucosus (4; all CB)

If interested, please contact me via PM. Local pickup in North Carolina.

Thanks!

I do have a 10-gallon available actually if you'd like it; I'll probably have a couple 27-gallon tanks available in the next couple months, but right now I've just got the 10-gallon up for grabs.

Nick

I've also got several empty tanks that I'm ready to part with. All are in good shape; the aquariums can be filled with water, but the terrariums can't (or at least shouldn't be!).

Sizes (terrarium):
2.5g w/ screen & glass top
65 gallon terrarium (never used, background installed) w/o top

Sizes (aquarium):
5g w/ screen top
10g w/ screen top (two available)
27g w/ screen top

PM me if interested and to discuss prices. I'm happy to offer discounts for more than one tank. Thanks!

Just a brief update --

Looks like I'm down to a 2.5 gallon terrarium and a 10 gallon aquarium; I'm giving these away for free but you'll have to pick them up from my house in Raleigh, NC. Both have screen tops.

Oh, and I have four Tylo. Verrucosus (captive bred) that are up for adoption as well. Local pickup only -- if I decide to ship, then I'll make that known by updating this thread. Looks like the other animals have all been spoken for.

Thanks!
