Hey,its me the one who buaght your marbled newts. Are they in the terrestrial stage right now and how long will they stay in it for,and also how long will the marbled newts stay in the terrestrial stage for?I want some smooth newts but I dont have room for any aquatic setup at this poin since they are harder to maintain and a terresrtial setup is easier and requires less room,

The smooth newts should go aquatic in about 1 year. I have had good luck keeping the adults totally aquatic.

We should stay on topic for the add but I'll answer the marm question
The T. marmoratus should go aquatic when they reach maturity. This depends on your husbandry. My guess would be 1 to 3 years. It has been my experience that marmoratus do not do well when forced to stay aquatic. They will always need land part of the year.

Some of my salamanders are often sold by vendors at the White Plains show. I no longer attend the show. It is to early to tell if I will be supplying any for the September show. Right now I have about 15 smooth newts available.
