Default Axolotl eggs! and juvies

Our golden albino and leucistic axolotls JUST laid eggs. The parents are from 2 different breeders. Anyone interested would just need to pay for shipping and handling. We are happy to send instructions on how to take care of them.

We're also going to have some wild type and leucistic juveniles that will be ready to ship in a month or so. $5 each plus shipping and handling.

We live near Boston, MA.

A picture of the parents are attached (eggs bred between the golden and leucistic; juvies bred by the wild type on the left and the leucistic)

Let us know if you're interested! Reply to this thread or email directly at zaria917@yahoo.com

I live in NH. Do you think you could ship the eggs regular first class?

Very interested in eggs. I'm in Michigan. 48880 is the zip. Will gladly pay for eggs sent to me.

Let me know how much I can do PayPal or send a check. I really want to raise some from eggs.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for the interest! We had a great response. It's nice to know these little guys are wanted. We are currently making our way through emails and plan to basically send the eggs out first come, first served. If you haven't heard from us yet, no worries, we will be in touch.

Thanks!

Leana (Zaria)

Hi Jenste, we are located in Somerville, MA.

Hi EasternNewtLove, shipping to NH shouldn't be a problem.

Hi Jake, I just emailed you back.

Hi Jason,
I just sent you a message via email.

Hi Anette,
I'm sorry for the slow response--- we had a larger response than anticipated combined with not being around this weekend to answer emails. I just sent you a reply via email.

Thanks again, the eggs arrived today and appear to be fine. Time will tell how many hatch but they all look to be in the bean shape.

I will post some pics as they grow.

Hello All,

Due to the post office being closed today for MLK Jr Day, eggs won't be shipped out until tomorrow morning. Sorry about that!

Hi,
I was just wondering what exact day these eggs were laid because they don't seem to be developing..... A few went bad and I removed them, but I haven't been able to notice any progression in their development

The eggs were laid 1/7. There are bound to be some eggs that are not viable (turn cloudy) and every egg develops at its own pace, so I wouldn't give up on them yet. Are they all round balls still or have they uncurled a bit?

I have two hatched as of this morning. One yesterday morning and One today. None of mine have turned cloudy and all seem to be developing as they should. Most appear to be albino since their eyes are hard to see. yet some are clearly going to be leucistic as their dark eyes are becoming apparent. I will post a pic when I get home from work. I have a video of the eggs at:

Yea two of mine hatched prematurely I hope they can hold on till they can grow a little more. And I mean prematurely because they don't have the form they should when they hatch, the head should be more rounded and the eyes should be very visible.

wow, that's awesome! (and quick! we kept a couple of eggs ourselves and they don't look like they're ready to hatch yet). Thanks for the video-- great to see that they're doing well.

Hey Jenste,

Let me know if nothing changes over the next week. Since you're local, we can maybe figure out a way to get you some of the eggs that we have here or if you're interested, we have about 100 baby axolotls just hatched from a previous round (wild type/leucistic).

I think hatching rate depends on the temp of the water; so if yours are kept cooler, they might take longer. Why don't you email me at zaria@yahoo.com to figure out other options if these guys don't make it. Again, I wouldn't give up on them yet.

Hi Anette, I've never had an egg hatch prematurely so don't have any advice. Wonder if there is info elsewhere on caudata though? Hope the others are doing well!

Hi Devin (and anyone else interested), we no longer have eggs to ship. We're planning on keeping the few that we have. We will definitely post if our axies decide to do a 4th round of eggs this winter though! And in a few months, we will have juvies that we will be looking for good homes for.

Thanks!
