Red face Axolotl eggs

Hi everyone,

Four days ago, Astrid started laying depositing eggs everywhere. I probably have about 500 of them....the plan is for me to only keep 10. :/ If any of you are in the eastern Washington state area (I'm in Pullman) and interested in eggs, please let me know as soon as you can.

Mortimer is the father.

Sharon

Oh no I didn't get a notification that you posted here, and I'm just seeing it. :|

I do have 25 little ones now (I shipped the rest to willowcat). I'm not sure how I feel about shipping them after they've hatched, but I would definitely consider it after learning more about how to do it. Would you be interested in any of them once they get a little bigger?

Sharon

I'm actually over in Arlington currently for the weekend. I'll be heading back to spokane come Monday morning. It seems like you're doing well with your kiddos now but I'd still be happy to take some :)

This is great. :) How many are you wanting? I currently have 25. I switched all but two of them to chopped blackworms today, and they seem to be slowly catching on.

Hi, I'm just wondering what type do you think these babies are?? I had some eggs that hatched and unfortunately only one made it, but they kind of looked like the pictures you've posted but now the one remaining one looks white- ish with black eyes. Any ideas on what he could be? Thank you!

I wish I knew! The ones I posted above are looking like wild type to me, but I'm really not sure. Does anyone else know? It may still be too soon to be able to tell....

Now that their bigger, they are looking very wildtype. (Half appear to be GFP.) Some of them have mismatched eyes, so that's throwing me off. (Wildtype vs ?)

Here are some pictures I took a couple days ago that will help you see their coloring. They are really pretty (but I'm partial). :)

They range from 3" to 3.5" and seem to be growing really quickly. They are eating ravenously.
