That is the question of the century. It seems like they've been harder to find lately than they usually are, which is really saying something. There really isn't any reliable source for caecilians.

I have seen a couple of small saltwater eels at Fintastic, which is a chain of stores just for aquatic animals. If you want an eel, you're not the only one!

Caecilians (amphibians) and saltwater eels (fish) are not the same thing.

CB caecilians is next to impossible even finding species is becoming that....... Only natans pop here and there but even that's quite rare. The future of caecilians is slim.

This website claims to offer three species of caecilians: Buy Salamanders and Newts online at Reptiles-N-Critters.com

A lot of their amphibians seem to be out of stock though, but you can have them notify you when they're in stock I think. Hope that helped!

It has been several years since those species were in stock at Reptiles-N-Critters. The Dermophis species they offer cannot be legally exporter from their country of origin.

They've given some very strange common names to the various species of crested newts.

I think one of the main problems with that site is that a lot of the species names don't match the picture of the animal. Also, on that page you're viewing every species they've ever had, not just the ones they currently have or carry regularly.

Doesn't stop me either. They do appear on the market. They just probably won't be CB. I got some Schistometopum gregorii last year from Tanzania. Unfortunately, the few terrestrial species from Africa that do make it into the US are getting harder to find. Species from Mexico, Central, and South America are almost impossible to find do to the restrictions in those countries. There are exporters out there for Asian species, but for some reason, they don't make it here very often.
