I'm not sure if the one i had was just too powefull, It was the filter that came with the tank... its only 60litres, when i turned it on the current was too strong for my poor axies to stand on the floor! they were caught in a cyclone! I bought a replacement for £20 so it does not matter, Did you arrange the rocks yourself? or is it a ready made ornament?

Ha ha ha, Look at Mo Mo just chilling out on his plant! My guys always do that in the morning they just stare at me! I like the look of your tank, I had the same filter but my guys hated it!

    That is a bit high,

temps over 20C tops can kick off fungus infections.

Best temp for axolotls tank is anywhare inbetween 16 -20 Max my tank sit about 18C in my back room.

Do you have a paticular room that is cooler than others, I would advise that would be the best room so store you axolotl in if you can

    Hi
My temperature can sometimes get up to 22. I do have a stick on one on my tank at the moment.
It does not go above 22 and at night drops down.

    Hi Wendy,

Yip thats me same person, ive never had to use a fan for my tanks as living in scotland its always cold a bonus for my axolotls tho :)
Why do you think you need one does your temp go quite high in your tank?
I use the stick on one in one of my tanks, but i have the glass ones which is in most i find them quite accurate you can pick them up for around three quid i think :)
