- I have always loved aquariums! At one point I had 5 running in my house, then I slowly toned it down to one. I have a 55 gallon tank with a custom built basking area on top for Sheldon, my red eared slider. He has a few fish friends in there as well, but now that I have perfected his habitat (about $1000 later) I am ready to start running one of my other tanks. Registered on this site to help me decide what sort of critter will suit me best :)
