It was the pet shop in Pukekohe 'Animal Shack' The one I told off for having gravel, which they changed and were willing to change other things too. They're alright, just know nothing about housing adult axies and juvies together!
That's good, I'm glad they are hatching. I've got a 2 month old juvie I rescued from the pet shop now, he's missing a foot and parts of his tail a long with a toe. Very malnourished, but he is a character. He should be growing in no time! :)
Great (I think), well only 4 have hatched, but they are gradually increasing in size, their tums look full but no orangeness? The rest look more than ready to hatch. Looks like some golds (YAY) and some leucstics maybe. I gave half away as was sent about 65!! My Daphnia looks like it is about to crash though so very upset about that, but I will just buy some more :) Thanks for asking!! How are your "minions" going??
There are a few axies on trademe that come with tanks. I check there often so keep an eye out for anything that pops up. Also, I believe they can be posted as well if it's your last resort.
The name of the petshop was Animal Shack.
I purchased my two current axolotls from a petshop in Pukekohe (south Auckland)
They took a while to find as many petshops don't tend to sell them. My first two were from a local zoo who needed to get rid of their fish & other aquatics.
Try looking on Trademe or in as many pet shops as you can. (Try not to end up like me and going out into the middle of nowhere though!)
