I and shruti (see message below) are working on T.verrucosus in India. There is a breeding program in Darjeeling and it will expand to Manipur. We are mapping the distribution of the species and providing baseline for conservation breeding. From your posts I gather that you are a keen caudata.org member and croc salamander specialist. I would like you to know your comments about the population of T. verrucosus in India.

I am doing a research on Tylototriton in India. I have some queries and would like to have a discussion on this. I have sent you a friend request. Kindly accept.
I must strongly disagree with you on the post where you suggest "tropical" salamanders for that aquarium/paludarium. Do you have any information about keeping / living of those species that would back up your suggestions ? I would be interested in reading in, as those are my main passion and I am trying to get all the information I can. Thanks in advance.
Hey! I read a short post of yours regarding the "recent" species level spitting of Pseudacris, and I'm curious about your comment that P.regilla does not in fact occur in CA. Of the papers I looked at, related to the split, not one includes samples from locations in southern oregon or northern california (i.e, Humboldt, Del Norte, Siskyou, Trinity,Curry, Josephine, Jackson etc.) ,with the exception of one sample from Shasta county. It seems that there should have been, or should be, more clarification in regards to these areas, as the boundary for the break between P.seirrae and P. regilla in unclear at best. Is there more to it? Thank you for pulling my head out of the sand, it seems I haven't been paying as close attention to things as I could have.
