    Actually, I did not find out what was wrong with the gills... And I think I just commented on one of your posts without realizing it was you. lol But I just left my home for a couple weeks on vacation, had a friend drop by and feed it earth worms (like I always do) came back, and his gills were gone… I just saw them today. I'm trying to figure out what to do now. I don't know much about the cycle process, or even the water tests with the nitrate and such. I feel horrible, but I was told by multiple pet stores of people who really claimed to know their stuff, that they weren't very high maintenance and said nothing of any of this. What is the cycle process. What should I do to get his gills back, you know?

    He did! I covered his tank with a towel so it was dark and cold. I also didn't feed him for a few days. He snapped out of in it about four days! Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Hope all is well.
