I remember reading your blog about the sudden appearance of a new tank. I'm sure the look on Dan's face would have been priceless

Mate, I have to give you the credit for doing work like that. I, personally, could never do such a thing. Perhaps I'm mentally challenged in that respect, lol. Science is all I've ever known, and I think it's going to stay with me for the rest of my life Well, I suppose the way the Australian and American economy is going right now, you'll have your work cut out for you. That's coming from a novice, remember! I do have one question, though: How long will petrol prices stay low?

I'm fine thanks. Too much on my plate as usual and not enough focus!

Lol, yeah, I know to need to evade cleaning on any on degree! When I was living back in Geelong with a mate, we had this deal where she would wash the plates and I'd dry them. It was quite the partnership considering she didn't like drying, but I did

I'm not looking to get another axolotl any time soon. Perhaps some time in the future, but not now. I just never liked the summer period, as it was so much stress for me and the axolotl. The cockatiel will do fine. Abrahm gave me a link that is very useful, so I've been reading up and trying to cover every aspect of parrot keeping. Personally, I was quite surprised that an Australian native bird is being kept in a foreign country (US), but then again, you could say the same thing for an axolotl. Have you thought about getting another axolotl? A female?

What kind of software do you test? If you don't mind me asking. Knowing me, you'll tell and it'll just go straight over my head. Have never been head-strong when it comes to anything with computers.

A new job? Good on ya! Are you still in the same field?

I've been well, just finished my exams not long ago. So, now I have all the time in the world to do as I please, which means sitting on my *** and eating my own weight in chips while watching Smallville. It's the life I always wanted...that's until my arteries clog up with fat!

Good to know that Maxolotl (still can't get over how cool that name is) is doing well. Sadly, my axolotl, Bubbles, died back a couple of months ago. Just last week I sold all my aquarium supplies on eBay. I've decided to get a cockatiel. Got my heart set on it, but I have to patient and read up on everything. I really don't trust the advice from the pet store, as most of them just look for a profitable turnover. Even though I have sold my aquarium and lost an axolotl, it doesn't deter me from keeping up the hobby

Seeing as you've got more time on your hands now, you have no excuse for not popping around here and saying hello Take it easy, matey!

    Hello stranger!

You have been MIA. Where have you been? Underwater, I presume!

    Hope all is well :)

Very well thanks Sarah. Unfortunately I had to rehome one of my axies as one tried to kill the other ! But I still have Gloria and a new tank of land hermit crabs, plus the dog, plus my kids, plus one husband...its a mad house!

I am playing Oblivion Elder Scrolls IV and it is almost as addictive as this forum lol! Must have started this damn character five times from scratch...it's the nose...it keeps bugging me lol. It seems the NPC's are staring at it in disapproval...definately the nose ;-)

I may breed them one day. At present I keep the boys with boys and the gals with gals so there are no 'accidents' - when we are all ready for the sticky eggie onslaught I may reconsider and let them go for it lol!

Hello. Well, a few things about me. I live in Melbourne, AU with my partner, an axie and a bunch of guppies. I used to be a tax accountant, but have since moved into the equally uncool job of software testing. :P I am a big nerd and love computer games, science fiction, the internet, general tinkering on computers and other nerdy activities. I LOVE scuba diving and try to get out a couple of times a week, wrecks and cephalopods are my favourite things to see. I also LOVE axolotls, have since I was a kid and finally got one in 2007!
