I also provided newt larvae for the filming of the new Alan Tichmarch wildlife series on BBC. Through my website I run a school visits programme and have recently secured grant and matched funding to visit schools across cheshire with a live amphibian exhibit to help raise awareness about the problems they face in the modern world.

- 2 male Great Crested Newts and a male Palmate are back in my garden pond.
Last night I saw a female Great Crested Newt on the lawn presumably making her way back to the pond to breed.
In years past we never saw any newts in the pond before March.
Could this be a sign of climate change?
