- I thought i would send a message instead of a post ok. When you give salt baths you should do them three times a day for 10-15 minutes at a time, ensure the water you use is the same temperature as the water she is in and change the water in the salt bath everytime. You use 1tsp of salt per litre of dechlorinated water, it is best to do the treatment whilst she is being frdged as it is easy to keep a spare bottle of water in there this will ensure all the water used for baths and water changes are the same temp , start salt baths at the first sign of fungus and continue for a day or 2 after the infection has cleared .As for water testing your local fish shop will normally do this for free,10% water changes evry couple of weeks is fine if you have a good filter. . Just remember to clean up her mess and leftover food when you see it and your problems should be few.
