hi
I have new axolotls and am wondering what is the best medium to put on the bottom of the tank. Right now they have black gravel ( it's the right size) but I don't care for the look. Would river rocks
(too big to eat) be a problem for them?
Thanks
Monica

The problem with larger gravel/stones is they can trap uneaten food or fecal matter which will decay and cause problems. You might try mixing just enough sand with your stones to fill in the voids.

Hi
Thanks. What kind of sand would you get?
