This page lists links to web sites and mailing lists dealing with individual species or groups.

Axolotl Links

  • Axolotls: The Fascinating Mexican Axolotl and the Tiger Salamander:  Caudata.org's Axolotl web site.  Modesty almost prevents us from saying it's the best hobbyist orientated Axolotl web site in the world.
  • Caudata Culture's Axolotl Information Sheet:  By the same author as Caudata.org's Axoltol Web Site. [Updated 27-Apr-2006]
  • Axolotls - Care Guide for the Mexican Salamander:  Chris Eng's web site has some great photos.  He talks about the genetics of his many axolotls and also has a photo diary of the growth of the larvae from a spawning he had.
  • Ambystoma.de:  German Web Site on Axolotls and Tigersalamanders with nice photos of Axolotls and an illustrated developmental stage series - recommended! (site is mostly in German - you may want to use a translator). [Added 30-Dec-2007]
  • Gli Axolotl:  An Italian web site about the Axolotl (site is in Italian - you may want to use a translator). [Updated 27-Apr-2006]
  • Gregor's Homepage:  Another German Web Site with some photos and mpeg movies of axolotls (site is in German - you may want to use a translator).
  • Christophe Cagé's Axolotl Web Site:  A concise web site with original photos.  This web site is in French (site is in French - you may want to use a translator). [Updated 27-Apr-2006]
  • Ambystoma Genetic Stock Centre:  Here you'll find a wealth of information, ranging from genetics to the practical side of keeping the Axolotl in captivity. [Link repaired 30-Dec-2007]
  • ShuffleBrain:  Professor Paul Pietsch's web site details his many years of research into how the brain works.  He has experimented extensively with the axolotl and made many quite remarkable discoveries.
