Fire bellied newt staying on land

That sounds good, I try to keep the most moist and when the water level rises a bit more I think it will be constantly, as for the food, I feed her freezdried bloodworms which just get soggy and sink in the water, but I have been interested in getting her some live nightcrawlers as well, I know she likes live foods. The bad thing is that none of the pet stores offer anything but crickets and mealworms which I know can hurt their stomach, and im not sure about ordering online, not many places ship to Canada. Do you guys know of any good international feeder places? Hopefully they don't freeze on the way here!!!

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
