Hello everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My daughter has a tiger salamander that just completed morphing this morning and is in his top soil/coco coir substrate. I added giant springtails and dwarf white isopods to the tank in hopes that it will help keep the cage clean.

I'm looking for any tips and suggestions on raising this little one. :) Currently, because I my location I don't have access to a lot of the items needed for the salamander so I have to make do with what we do have.

Anyways, I look forward to gaining more knowledge on this.

Only a little late to this post...lol. If you’re still out there, may I ask if you purchased the springtails/isopods from a local source? I was wanting to do a bioactive substrate for my enclosure, but am unable to find a local vendor- Oahu. I also know a permit is required to ship the insects in. Thanks and hope you and your daughter ( plus sal ) are well!
